Columbia River Knife & Tool has been making the Kit Carson designed popular M16 Series of high-performance folding knives for over a decade. This robust design platform has become widely recognized as a rock solid go to cutting tool throughout professional and military services the world over. And now, CRKT has just introduced the first fully automatic M16 knife, the new M16-04A. This all business cutting tool gets its superior lineage straight from the M16 design. Its 4.0 modified tanto blade readily opens in a flash with the push of the auto release button. In addition, the auto mechanism features a patented* safety on the handle spine, which effectively locks the release button in both the open and closed positions. The signature M16 handle design is profile contoured and purposefully skeletonized for mobility and secure grip. These 100% MADE IN USA automatic knives are being offered as a limited production run and are restricted items being offered through Armed Forces suppliers. Blades are CPM154 (58-60 HRC) steel with DLC coating for superior performance protection. Handles are 6061 Type III anodized aluminum in a non-reflective matte black color. Knives come with removable stainless steel three position carry clip. Overall, the M16-04A is definitely one high-speed, low-drag knife design that will serve you well, no matter what your mission. *U.S. Patent No. 5,822,866 under license from Mentor Group, LLC.
